Dr Meenu Walia is a renowned Cancer Specialist with around 30 years of experience with over 15 years of experience in the field of Medical Oncology and Haematology. She did MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and then completed MD (Internal Medicine) from Delhi University. She chose to super specialise in the field of oncology and has the distinction of being the first DNB, Medical Oncologist of India. In her three decades long illustrious career, Dr Meenu Walia has worked with some of the most prestigious hospitals of India including Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Dharmashila Hospital and Research Centre and Max Hospital. Currently, she is Senior Director – Cancer Care / Oncology / Breast Cancer / Gynecologic Oncology / Thoracic Oncology / Medical Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital (Patparganj, Vaishali and Noida).
Dr Meenu Walia has a speciality interest in all Solid and Haematological Cancers. She has experience in managing Solid and Haemato-lymphoid tumours with a particular interest in Breast, Gynaecological and Gastrointestinal cancers. Dr Meenu Walia is also Clinical Research and Principal Investigator for various randomised multi-centric international clinical trials.
Dr Meenu Walia is an author of the book ‘Tips of Happiness in the Shadow of Cancer’ and her research papers have been published in renowned national & international journals.
